First hospital to fully implement v-TAC in daily clinical practice

Breaking news in blood gas: Regional Hospital North Jutland (Denmark) became the first hospital to fully implement v-TAC in daily clinical practice.

From now on, patients who are admitted to North Denmark Regional Hospital can rest assured that the need for painful arterial punctures, has been significantly reduced since the permanent introduction of v-TAC in the emergency ward and will be introduced in the other departments at the hospital in the coming months.

Medical director Claus Brøckner Nielsen says: ”v-TAC is a quantum leap forward for emergency ward patients and for us as health professionals, because v-TAC spares patients unnecessary pain and we are in a better position to acquire data that gives us a better overview of the patient's treatment. It is huge progress – and therefore it will be the norm going forward at North Denmark Regional Hospital.”
